Day 2...
Here we are hanging out in our dorms this morning!
Exploring the Visitor Center...watching a movie & perusing the gift shop & museum
A visit to Halema’uma’u crater & Jagger Museum
Then we stopped off at the Thurston Lava Tube
After our tubular experience, we headed down to the bottom of Chain of Craters road. There we had lunch, saw the sea arch, and took a whole bunch of pictures!!!
Then, we wanted to look at the petroglyphs. So, we went on a 1.4 mile hike to see them!
Because we still had energy to burn, we went on the Mauna ‘Ulu trail. It was wet & windy, but we had fun seeing the fissure, climbing rocks, looking for Pele’s tears, and tasting an Ohelo berry!
Cosmic bowling with the Fourth grade Funky Bunch! 💕😊🤪
The BEST part of the trip...Halema’uma’u Crater at night!
